Our Pup Stop Solar Fountain is the same style of fountain that has become a favorite at our weekly farmers market setup. We originally added solar fountains to our dog pools simply to keep the water moving and make the Pup Stop a little more inviting. After one too many people stopped to ask, “Where did you get that fountain?”, we decided it was time to make them available online too.
Simply place the fountain in water with the solar panel exposed to bright, direct sunlight, and the sun powers the fountain automatically. There are no cords to plug in and no separate power source required.
It’s a fun addition to dog pools, bird baths, small outdoor water features, garden containers, and other suitable outdoor setups.
This fountain is powered directly by the sun. It does not store solar energy for later use.
For the fountain to operate properly, the solar panel must receive strong, direct sunlight.
If the fountain is:
In the shade
Under a covered patio or canopy
Receiving indirect sunlight
Partially shaded
Used on a heavily overcast or cloudy day
Temporarily covered by shadows
…the fountain may spray at reduced power, pulse on and off, produce only a small amount of water movement, or stop running completely.
This is normal for a direct-solar fountain and does not mean the fountain is defective. Once strong, direct sunlight reaches the solar panel again, fountain performance should increase accordingly.
Even a shadow passing across the panel can temporarily affect the strength of the fountain, so choosing a sunny location makes a big difference.
Use your Pup Stop Solar Fountain in dog splash pools, bird baths, small garden ponds, outdoor water bowls or basins, decorative water features, and other appropriately sized outdoor containers.
For pet use, always supervise animals around water and make sure the fountain remains properly positioned and submerged as required.
